Chelsea have a derby record in their sights, but Tottenham arrive at Stamford Bridge with something they have been missing: a Premier League win to build on.

Saturday's meeting gives the Blues the chance to beat Spurs for a seventh successive league game. Chelsea's own match guide says that would be a first for the club. For the visitors, ending that run would turn a welcome result against Coventry into a much more convincing statement.

Neto gives Chelsea momentum

A 5–1 home win over Bournemouth followed by a 2–0 victory at Everton has changed the mood around Chelsea's league campaign. Seven goals in two games offer encouragement; keeping Everton out mattered too, after the Blues had conceded in each of their first six league matches.

Pedro Neto scored both goals on Merseyside. His contribution gives Spurs another threat to account for alongside Cole Palmer, whose five goal involvements in five Premier League appearances against Tottenham underline how much he has enjoyed this fixture.

Chelsea have four wins, one draw and two defeats from seven league games. They have scored 17 and conceded 13: plenty of attacking reward, but enough at the other end to make another clean sheet a meaningful next step.

Can Spurs make Monday count?

Tottenham's 3–1 victory over Coventry on Monday was their first league win of the season. It followed a 1–1 draw at Manchester United, leaving them with four points from their last two matches after a difficult opening stretch.

There is still ground to recover. Spurs have six points from seven games, with six goals scored and ten conceded. Half of those league goals came against Coventry; the challenge now is to carry that sharper attacking return into a much less forgiving away fixture.

The contrast makes this more than a test of the recent head-to-head record. Chelsea want to turn two wins into a sustained run. Tottenham need to show that Monday was a starting point, not an isolated lift.

When is Chelsea v Tottenham?

The Premier League match kicks off at 5.30pm BST on Saturday 24 October at Stamford Bridge. Follow the match centre for the score and match events, or see the full fixture schedule.

A seventh straight league success over Spurs would give Chelsea more than derby bragging rights. For Tottenham, stopping that sequence would be the clearest sign yet that their recovery is gathering pace.
