Wales finally have a League A win to celebrate. Coming from behind against Norway lifted Craig Bellamy's side off the mark, but the next visitors are the Denmark team that beat them comfortably in Copenhagen only a week ago. Sunday in Cardiff is a chance to show the response was more than one good night.
What changed against Norway?
Wales had lost their first two group games without scoring. Norway went ahead early on Thursday too, but Dan James equalised before half-time and Neco Williams put Wales in front with a free-kick shortly after the restart. They held on for a 2-1 win, their first at this level of the Nations League.
That comeback matters beyond the three points. Wales looked short of answers when Denmark won 2-0 in Copenhagen on 27 September. Back in Cardiff, James and Williams gave the Red Wall something different to carry into the rematch: proof that Bellamy's team can recover from a setback against strong opposition.
Denmark's warning from Copenhagen
The first meeting is still the clearest caution. A Ben Davies own goal and a Gustav Isaksen finish settled it for Denmark, with Mikkel Damsgaard's deliveries causing Wales problems. Bellamy's side created chances, but Denmark controlled enough of the game to deserve the win.
Denmark then lost 4-2 at home to Portugal. That leaves the teams level on three points after three Group A4 matches, with Norway also on three and Portugal out in front. Neither Wales nor Denmark can treat this as a formality. Williams has welcomed the quick chance to face the Danes again; the test is whether Wales can match their new-found belief with a better display against the same opponents.
When is Wales v Denmark?
Sunday 4 October, 7:45pm BST

UEFA Nations League, Group A4
Watch the opening spell. Denmark got on top early in Copenhagen; Wales will want the energy they showed after going behind to Norway from the first whistle this time. A second home win would change the feel of their League A campaign. A repeat of last week's result would hand Denmark the advantage in their head-to-head.
